I believe architects have a responsibility to design a built environment that responds to the needs of our clients, users, and the planet; I endeavor to be a responsible designer. Architecture negotiates an intersection of economics, social relations, and environmental concerns, which creates a unique opportunity to do good on multiple scales. In my career, I wish to improve lives by designing positive spaces for people to live, play and work sustainably and equitably.

What I find most exciting about architecture is the process of taking a novel idea and making it a reality through rigorous study, experimentation, and iteration. While I seek to understand and learn from "The way we've always done it", I continually explore how to get design to do more for its users.
